NAAM YOGA LA is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) global center for spiritual and physical wellness. Our mission is to empower people to improve their lives, heal themselves, and to support them in the process of balancing the Mind Body Spirit connection through the power of community, a variety of classes, a healing clinic, workshops and events, many of which are available free or at low cost.


Therapeutic and Community

Gratefully, our mission to serve others through our Community Classes is growing. Community Classes are offered by donation, which includes mat rental. The Sunday Healing Banis and Beach Yoga classes remain free for everyone. All fitness levels welcome. Naam Yoga Therapies Classes (by donation)

Naam Yoga LA exists to help those with specific health issues take ownership of their well-being at a deep cellular and subconscious level. If you or a loved one are affected by Diabetes, Cancer, HIV or Cardiac, Thyroid and Glandular System, Brain and Nervous System disorders, or want tips for Emotional Balance, please join us for our free community classes in each of these areas. Health professionals and care providers will also benefit from the information presented in our Naam Yoga Therapies classes.

  • Diabetes

    Monday 2:30-3:45pm

    Special attention is given to the Spleen meridian for the Pancreas, the Liver to help purify the blood and remove negative emotions, the Solar Plexus, navel and the root chakra to support core strengthening while giving confidence and the nervous system to reduce neuropathy and retinopathy. Laughter is also used, as it boosts the immune system, relieves stress and improves stamina. This class is beneficial as an adjunctive and/or preventative therapy for people with, or who have family history of diabetes 1 and 2, as well as any pancreatic or liver condition while offering therapeutic approaches to any caregivers.

  • Cardiac and Circulatory Health

    Tuesday 2:30-3:45pm

    Techniques that strengthen the heart, improve blood flow and regulate heart rate and blood pressure are shared in this class. This therapeutic approach focuses not only on physical aspects of cardiac health but also mental wellness and emotional balance. Many who have taken this class also report experiencing better breathing, reduced incidence of anxiety and greater sense of calm in the face of stress. This class is beneficial as an adjunctive and/or preventative therapy for people with, or who have a family history of heart disease (coronary disease, arrhythmias), high or low blood pressure, circulation problems (spider veins, varicose disease, Raynaud syndrome, atherosclerosis) and share therapeutic techniques with caregivers.

  • The Brain and Nervous System

    Wednesday 2:30-3:45pm

    This class boosts the body's ability to adapt to stress, recover from injury and maximizes brain power. The exercises are designed to promote equilibrium in the nervous system and brain, to support nerve health and regeneration, improve memory and concentration, bring a sense of calm to each student. It activates neuronal pathways, increasing the efficacy of neurons and encouraging the formation of new synaptic connections. Specific techniques stimulate the pineal gland to increase the levels of Melatonin and serotonin, maintaining healthy sleep, reducing cholesterol and body fat while ridding the body of free radicals, just to name a few of the benefits. This class is beneficial as an adjunctive and/or preventative therapy for people with, or who have family history of Alzheimer's, Epilepsy, Ataxia, tremor, Multiple Sclerosis, tumors/cancer, as well as depression, anxiety bipolar, addictions and techniques are happily shared with all caregivers.

  • The Immune System

    Thursday 2:30-3:45pm

    Positive visualization, breathing, meridian-stimulating exercises, lymphatic strengthening/drainage movements and energy enhancing practices are some of the highlights of this empowering Naam Yoga Therapies class. It is beneficial as an adjunctive and/or preventative therapy for people with, or who have family history of, Asthma, Cancer, HIV, Autoimmune Disease, and is also beneficial for those who serve as caregivers to anyone suffering from the above.

  • Thyroid and Complete Hormonal Health

    Friday 2:30-3:45pm

    Regulation of the hormone system is of utmost importance for achieving optimal health. Healthy hormone equilibrium can be supported with the techniques offered in this class, including movement focused on the meridians related to the thyroid and hormone function, and include breath and specific sound/vibrational techniques for the throat. This class is beneficial as an adjunctive and/or preventative therapy for people with, or who have a family history of, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, adrenal fatigue and is great for all caregivers. It is also an excellent tool for increased fertility, menstrual irregularities, puberty, menopause and male andropause.

  • Naam Yoga Healing Banis /Free

    Sunday 2:30-3:45pm

    In this seated meditation, you will chant a precise arrangement of sacred mantra from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib that has been organized and chosen by Dr. Levry specifically for its healing impact. Mudras (hand gestures) are added to the mantra to maximize the benefit. No experience is necessary. Words to the mantra are provided. The practice of chanting these healing Banis have brought a state of health to people suffering from a diverse range of conditions.

  • Beach Yoga - Sunday 9:00am / Free

    Join us at Palisades Park (Idaho & Ocean Ave) in beautiful Santa Monica for a yoga class overlooking the ocean. Enjoy the beautiful weather and amazing 1 hour class every Sunday! Open to all levels. Please bring your mat.

  • Naam Yoga Meditation for Balance and Protection

    Monday to Friday 4:15pm ($5 Suggested Donation) 40-min

    Each day at 4:00pm, when the tides turn, the electromagnetic field of every human weakens (this often translates as the afternoon lulls), making you vulnerable or susceptible to experiencing an increase in life's challenges. In this 30-minute class you will focus on three exercise/meditations to strengthen and balance your magnetic field, which will serve as a protective shield from negativity, giving you renewed energy to carry you through the rest of your day.

  • Kriyas for Health, Happiness, Love, Prosperity and Success

    Tuesday 3:45pm ($5 Suggested Donation) 30-min

  • Intro to Naam Yoga Masterclass / Free

    Thursday 6:30-7:00pm

    If you have never been to a Shakti Naam Yoga Master Class, this is for you! A short 30-minute introduction that will give you an idea of what to expect in a Master Class and an opportunity to learn some of the consistent elements practiced in class from alignment to the use of sacred sound so that you can feel comfortable. This intro is taught by our experienced Naam Yoga teaching staff, designed to help you feel at home in any Shakti Naam Yoga Master Class!
